Job Objective:
The Sr. Commercial Analyst will lead the evaluation of commercial opportunities and growth projects across Harvest Midstream's business units. The role will collaborate with business development, engineering and operations teams to develop key project assumptions, build a financial model and deliver presentations to executive leadership. This role will report through the Finance organization and plays a key part in supporting capital allocation and strategy execution.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the evaluation of commercial transactions by interfacing with senior management, business development, engineering and operations teams
- Conduct financial analysis to determine impact and attractiveness of internal projects, strategic initiatives and growth opportunities
- Build and maintain financial models to assess project economics, discounted cash flow analysis, and valuation
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis for commercial terms, fee structures, volume forecasts and market conditions
- Translate analysis into concise, executive-level presentations
- Partner with Business Development in evaluating commercial opportunities and developing project economics
- Conduct industry research and competitive analysis related to market trends, competitive landscape and customer performance
- Evaluate potential financial impact of changing market conditions and trends
- Contribute to responses to customer requests for proposals
- Build a productive relationship with operations, finance, accounting, and engineering groups
- Mentor junior analysts, help standardize best practices, and drive continuous improvement in project evaluations tools and processes
- Support finance activities including debt issuances, investor relations and financial reporting
- Respond to requests and ad-hoc analysis required from internal and external customers

Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a financial or analytical role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and PPT
- Ability to build financial models, analyze complex data and develop presentations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and operating in a lean, entrepreneurial organization
- Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to operate in a fast paced, collaborative environment, and work closely with multiple groups
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Preferred:
- Experience in the energy industry, preferably with midstream exposure
- Experience in energy finance, investment banking, private equity or consulting
Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, engineering, accounting or a related field
