Title: Senior Legal Specialist

Location: Trenton, NJ, United States

Pay Rate: $40.40/hr. without benefits

Duration: long term contract

Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Job Description:



  • Performs legal research, prepares, and proofread documents, reports, summaries, legal memoranda, legal documents, and attorney memoranda for the legal staff; pursues discovery matters and related document production; manages paper documents and electronic files; prepares and proofread correspondence on legal matters, cases, and proceedings; locates and coordinates with witnesses for specific case needs; interviews witnesses and other parties to provide information for and under the direction of the legal staff;
  • Synopsizes transcripts of proceedings and other documents for use by the OLEPS staff;
  • Attends meetings and proceedings before to assist legal staff as directed;
  • Assists in the liaison activities with government agencies and OLEPS staff;
  • Manages case files by organizing and maintaining such paper and electronic files, and establishes and implements systems of retrieval of file information;
  • Acts as custodian of files; organizes and maintains research information to ensure readily accessibility to such information and retrieves such information upon request; assists in the instruction and guidance of clerical support personnel when directly related to the legal functions being performed;
  • Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information system used by OLEPS; and performs other functions as needed.
  • Senior Legal Specialist: Supports OLEPS legal staff by conducting research, drafting documents, managing case files, coordinating witnesses, summarizing transcripts, assisting at proceedings, and handling discovery and liaison activities.
