Job Summary: Responsible for PLC Programming and Electrical Design to support the production of customer orders as well as providing automation support of factory equipment. Will combine technical knowledge and creativity to make products successful and meet customer needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Generate programs for PLC's, HMI's
  • Create/maintain wiring diagrams for new and existing products following standard practices.
  • Conduct/coordinate testing to validate programs and electrical systems achieve the project goals, including the sequence of operation.
  • Engineer, troubleshoot, design, and validate the electrical and controls on electromechanical HVAC equipment.
  • Create product engineering documentation ensuring all information is complete andaccurate, includingbut not limited to wiringdiagrams, billsof materials, PLC & HMI programing, and sequence of operations and register lists.
  • Provide engineering support to the salesteam, manufacturingpersonnel and field servicetechniciansas needed.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of circuity and electrical design
  • Proficient in graphical object-oriented programming such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens S7-1200 platforms.
  • Proficient with CAD software, especially AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical
  • Knowledge of industry standards, particularly with UL508A, UL1995, UL60335, and BMS Systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; VBA a plus
  • Self-motivated and detailed oriented team player with excellent follow-through skills

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Engineering Bachelor's Degreerequired
  • Five plus years of experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing HVAC equipment is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer terminals, expansive reading, etc.
  • The worker is occasionally exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
  • May be required to work in confined space
  • May be exposed to electricity or other power sources.
