DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position is required to enter data into the computer system for vehicle titles and registration applications. The CA2 is required to verify the correctness of name and address, WID number, insurance, plate and tag information, signatures, liens, notarization, tax liability, authenticity of documents, and other elements that ensure accuracy. The operator must determine if the required information fees and documents have been properly attached with the correct forms.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
- Work hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $38,515 (before taxes).

Organizational or Location Restrictions:
- This posting is restricted to Department of Transportation Central Office, District 8-0, and District 8-5 employees only.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
This position is subject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding. If no applicable union-covered bidders apply, other applicants will be considered.

Permanent full-time Clerical Assistant 2s can be considered for lateral transfer.
