In this position you will act as an aid to the Manager of the Output Control Section of the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and perform a variety of administrative staff assignment related to centralized plate re-issuance.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will independently create mail merges in Word from excel files daily to print letters to be mailed to customers, take ITOM reports and create an excel spreadsheet from the information received from report, and monitor and analyze respond to customer comments, questions and concerns received through a resource email account, phone calls, notepads or other sources. Additionally, you will monitor and analyze the schedule of the system job for creating the notification of registration plate replacement and the job to replace the plates and make recommendations for adjustments to the schedule or the number of records pulled by each job. In addition to these duties, you will research any records expecting a registration plate replacement that was not replaced, determine the reason it was skipped and monitor the record to identify when conditions are right to replace the plate or for it to be in active and manually process the plate replacements when skipped records can now be replaced. You will utilize the CARATS and MVDLS systems for records review and processing and make corrections to customers records when needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
This position is subject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding. If no applicable union-covered bidders apply, other applicants will be considered.

Permanent full-time Clerical Assistant 2s can be considered for lateral transfer.
