TEKsystems' client is looking to host SAP within their current ecosystem (Azure). They are in need of an SAP Basis support consultant to monitor the system and ensure it is running smoothly. TEKsystems' client is utilizing an SI, this SAP Basis support role would be working directly for the client, not the implementation partner. *Top Skills Details* SAP Basis, Azure, SAP BTP, SAP RISE *Description* Job Summary: The IT Operations Jr. Engineer will be a critical member of the client's IT team, serving as the technical point of contact and subject matter expert for IT operations, which are largely supported by the Managed Services Provider (MSP)/SAP RISE. This role delivers IT services, monitors performance, manages incidents, and drives continuous improvement in collaboration with the MSP and internal stakeholders. The IT Operations Jr. Engineer will focus on the technical optimization of the IT environment, ensuring alignment with business needs and security best practices. *Key Responsibilities:* * Act as the primary technical liaison between TEKsystems' client and their MSP/SAP RISE, ensuring services (including SysOps, NetOps, CloudOps, IAM, VDI, etc.) are delivered effectively and meet or exceed agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs). * Monitor and analyze MSP performance metrics, service reports, and ensure adherence to contractual obligations. * Conduct regular reviews of MSP performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for optimization. * Provide effective handling of IT incidents and problems, handling critical issues related to MSP-managed services. * Collaborate closely with the MSP and internal teams to facilitate rapid incident resolution and minimize business disruption. * Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and ensure appropriate preventative measures are implemented. * Maintain a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications, regardless of whether they are managed internally or by the MSP. * Provide technical support to internal users and teams for issues related to outsourced IT services. * Ensure designs and implementations align with operational requirements. * Develop and maintain internal dashboards and reports to track key operational metrics, system health, and service availability. * Provide regular updates and insights to internal leadership regarding the performance of IT operations and MSP services. * Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and security of IT operations. * Propose and, in collaboration with the MSP, implement process improvements, automation, and best practices. * Ensure IT operations processes are aligned with ITIL frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management). * Work with internal security teams and the MSP to ensure all IT operations adhere to security policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards. * Participate in security audits and reviews related to IT infrastructure and operations. * Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for IT systems, processes, and operational procedures. * Ensure knowledge transfer between the MSP and internal teams is effective and ongoing. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Required Skills and Qualifications: * 5+ years of progressive experience in IT Operations, with significant experience in environments utilizing Managed Services Providers (MSPs). * Proven experience in a support role. * Strong understanding of core IT infrastructure components: networking (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, firewalls), servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V). * Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure Gov, AWS Gov) and cloud operations (CloudOps). * Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and frameworks (e.g., ITIL Foundation certification strongly preferred). * Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, DataDog, Nagios) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management). * Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. * Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure. *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.
