Saxman One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Writer to join our team in support of an HHS Event Logistics Contract. The Senior Writer will collaborate with subject matter experts, researchers, and designers to produce content that aligns with organizational goals and meets the highest editorial and style standards and support the development of clear, accurate, and engaging written materials for a wide range of audiences. This role involves both technical writing and creative storytelling to support communications across multiple formats and platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Formulate, write, and edit content for fact sheets, project summaries, monthly progress reports, informational packets, press releases, publications, and web content.
- Provide technical writing, editing, and proofreading support for reports, news releases, web content, fact sheets, and PSA scripts.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, researchers, and graphic artists to produce professional, high-quality documents and deliverables.
- Conduct research, identify subject matter experts, and conduct interviews to gather data and insights.
- Collate, organize, and synthesize information for inclusion in written products.
- Develop drafts and manage the review process through to final approval.
- Proofread and quality-check content produced by project team members and clients.
- Plan, coordinate, and produce both web and print communication products.
- Take detailed notes at events to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Provide on-site event support.
- Ensure all materials include the appropriate OCC, OHS, or ECD logos and adhere to the HHS style guide and ACF guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong research, interviewing, and fact-checking skills.
- Experience writing for diverse audiences across multiple channels (print, digital, press, etc.).
- Familiarity with federal style guides and government communications standards.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Travel Requirement: A range between 10% and 30% travel should be expected, Although changing requirements may alter that percentage.
