Customer Service Representative - Healthcare Support *Location:* Newton, Iowa
Job Description Join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional service in the healthcare space. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and providers-handling inquiries, verifying insurance, and ensuring smooth documentation and order processing. *Key Responsibilities:* * Respond promptly to calls and emails, meeting service goals and quality standards * Provide accurate information about products, services, and retail locations * Process orders, route calls appropriately, and follow up as needed * Review and verify documentation for accuracy and completeness * Conduct insurance verification to determine coverage, co-pays, and deductibles * Obtain pre-authorizations and submit physician orders to insurance carriers * Navigate multiple EMR systems to retrieve and enter documentation * Track authorizations and expiration dates in EMR systems * Communicate trends and issues with insurance carriers to management * Ensure all insurance carriers are listed in the system; request additions when needed * Contact patients when documentation is incomplete and offer solutions to move forward Skills & Qualifications *Must-Have:* * 1+ year of customer service experience (retail, hospitality, or similar accepted) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office *Preferred:* * Experience in healthcare or medical support roles * Familiarity with inbound call handling * Experience in nursing homes or CNA roles with strong medical terminology Top Skills: * Customer Service * Call Center Operations * Healthcare & Insurance Knowledge * Help Desk Support * EMR System Navigation *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
