Summary of Job Duties:Breast cancer survivors are the largest group of cancer survivors and are at high risk for unemployment, especially in health disparity populations, leading to financial toxicity and poor health outcomes. Despite the numerous benefits of employment for cancer survivors, cancer-related fatigue and cognitive impairment are common barriers to working; these barriers can be alleviated with physical activity, but discrimination and accessibility to exercise opportunities often experienced by Black cancer survivors living in the rural south can adversely impact these outcomes.

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant I with research experience and interest in cancer-related research. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research using structural equation modeling, regressions, and other models and techniques with guidance from the principal investigator, collecting and managing data, semi-structured interviewing, participant recruitment and management, transcription, and communicating with the principal investigator. They will be supervised/mentored by Dr. Jaimi Allen, Assistant Professor within the College of Public Health, Department of Epidemiology. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of research experience required.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and communicate with the principal investigator on a regular basis.

  • Assist with participant recruitment.

  • Manage and analyze data.

  • Conduct semi-structured interviewing.

  • Transcription.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
