Description

At FAPS, Inc. the Volvo technician is responsible for the daily operations of repairing and servicing of the vehicles.

Essential Duties:



  • Perform manufacturer required maintenance on vehicles.
  • Observe all safety precautions when driving vehicles to and from work area.
  • Perform maintenance checks outside.
  • Drive vehicles needing batteries charged to charging area.
  • Connect/ Disconnect battery to battery charger in a safe manner.
  • Assist team members to assure quality is maintained during maintenance checks.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • SHIFT: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm with possibility of overtime and/or weekend work as needed



Minimum Qualifications:



  • High Scholl Diploma or GED
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Obtain and maintain a Port Access card issued by the NJ State Police
  • Drive both automatic and standard vehicles
  • Must complete required Volvo technical and non-technical training



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Deadline and detail oriented



Physical Attributes:



  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs including maneuvering of 30lb compressor
  • Stand, bend, and or kneel throughout shift
  • Work in confined spaces / congested quarters
  • Work exposed to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and or any other conditions out of doors
