Job Summary



The Outside Sales Representative - Foam-In-Place (FIP) for the South-Central Territory will be responsible for executing sales development strategies to identify, qualify and sell to new FIP customers in that territory. They will utilize market data to identify, pursue and qualify end user targets, and will work with the field sales, product management, and leadership teams to secure new business.



This role reports to the National Business Development Manager.



Job Functions



  • Responsible for driving new FIP customers established and new Pregis channels
  • Prospecting
  • Physical end user prospecting
  • Electronic marketing
  • Phone work to acquire appointments with end users weekly
  • Distributor prospecting - phone and in person
  • Work closely with the field sales team and leadership to leverage existing distribution relationships as well as independently identify, engage, and convert new customers
  • Implement national and regional initiatives designed to engage potential new FIP customers established by product management and leadership



Job Requirements



  • Education / Experience: Minimum level of education and experience required
  • University degree or college diploma, package engineering or business preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of sales experience preferred



Skills & Training



  • Possess an impressive track record of prospecting new accounts and developing new business or demonstrate the skill and aptitudes necessary for success in this role
  • Highly effective negotiation and communication skills
  • Capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials
  • Results oriented, highly motivated to perform with minimal direct management
  • High degree of personal and professional ethical standards
  • Excellent communication skills - written and oral
  • Organized, effective time management skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform basic machine repairs
  • Occasional heavy lifting required up. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40lbs
  • Travel Requirements (60%)
  • Expect considerable driving
  • Company car included
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
