Genesys is looking for an experienced, highly driven leader to drive the strategy to execution of billings and billings portfolio. This is a unique position which requires deep functional knowledge and expertise coupled with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategicSenior Directorto lead ourBilling and Revenue Systems within theZuora subscription management platform. As the accountable and responsible executive for this function, you will drive the vision, execution, and continuous improvement of our end-to-end billing architecture, ensuring scalable, accurate, and compliant monetization processes for our subscription and usage-based offerings.

As a senior IT leader, you will have an exciting opportunity to create a compelling tech strategy that delivers to newer SaaS commercial models that can scale across the enterprise. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Product, Engineering, Revenue RevOps, and Customer Success to ensure our billing engine aligns with strategic goals, complies with regulatory standards, and delivers a best-in-class customer experience.

You will build and lead a team of systems analyst, product owners, engineering and operations team to deliver on enterprise-wide large initiatives. You will analyze current state needs and challenges and develop & execute a strategy & portfolio that is value-driven, mature, and predictable.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the long-term strategy for the billing, mediation and revenue engine, aligned with corporate financial and product goals. Serve as the owner for all billing-related processes, owning accountability for billing integrity, system performance, and compliance. Act as the subject matter expert and escalation point for complex billing scenarios, system enhancements, and integrations.
  • Responsible for the design, configuration, and optimization of the billing engine, including rating, invoicing, proration, tax handling, and usage metering and revenue forecasting to recognition. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant billing processes across geographies and product lines.

  • Build the right talent and manage a global organization that can scale and deliver predictably. Lead and guide the billing operations team and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams on platform changes.
  • Engage the business: Work with business leaders, partners, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver across portfolio of large enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Robust vendor management and partnership to ensure quality delivery that is predictable and at the right cost.
Governance & Risk Management
  • Establish controls and metrics to monitor billing performance, leakage, exceptions, and customer disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and other financial or privacy regulations relevant to billing operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPIs, root cause analysis, and process automation.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant billing processes across geographies and product lines.
  • Lead and guide the billing operations team and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams on platform changes.
Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Finance to influence product monetization strategies and support new product offerings.
  • Partner with Revenue Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure clean revenue recognition and alignment with ASC 606 and other accounting principles.
  • Actively contribute to system architecture decisions and integrations with CRM (e.g., Salesforce), ERP, and data warehouse systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong blend of business sense and process knowledge: You evaluate things holistically and think through the objectives, impacts, best practices, and what will be simple and scalable.
  • High-energy, company first, positive attitude: Passionate and motivated to make a massive impact and work hard in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, innovative and design thinking to enable and improve business processes through new or enhanced processes and tools.
  • Multi-tasking prioritization expertise: Experience (and preferably an enjoyment of) balancing numerous different priorities and demands.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse group of people.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize across portfolio and manage tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Experience Required:

  • 15+ years of experience in delivering Enterprise Solutions.
  • Expert level functional understanding with hands-on experience of building billing solutions, revenue recognition for SaaS commercial models, consumption-based billing
  • Strong expertise in business process, technology architecture, building roadmaps and agile execution.
  • Ability to set a compelling vision, align senior leadership, and work across teams to deliver with high quality.
  • Deep understanding of Zuora, Salesforce platform.
  • Expert in collecting information from multiple sources and integrating the information to find creative ways to meet the business' needs.
  • Successful track record of leading and delivering large multi-million-dollar enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Expertise in managing partners and suppliers effectively to deliver results
  • Master's degree in the field of computer science or MBA is a plus.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.

$175,700.00 - $326,300.00
