About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in enhancing Combatant Command mission integration. This critical role directly impacts national security by advancing AI/ML and data-driven decision-making across the Department of Defense (DoD). You will be instrumental in assessing and improving the Combatant Command's technology integration initiatives, designing robust data solutions, and shaping the future of DoD data management and analytics. This high-impact position offers significant professional growth and the opportunity to contribute to vital national security missions. Frequent travel is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and develop solutions to mitigate technical risks, ensuring compliance with global standards and interoperability with DoD systems.
  • Create and review documentation (diagrams, assessments, design documents).
  • Evaluate new products and services, recommend improvements, and assist in developing and documenting network architecture.
  • Serve as a technical advisor, formulating technical approaches, selecting tools, and designing diagnostic methods for solving customer problems using artificial intelligence.
  • Consult with organizations to obtain and exchange complex technical information.
  • Ensure that all functional and performance analysis models accurately reflect operational performance requirements.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience OR a Master's Degree plus 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or a closely related discipline (e.g., Modeling and Simulation Engineering).
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Experience with network design/development and the design of data exchange standards (APIs, cloud storage, access-denied environments).
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Experience in Python programming.
  • Familiarity with Data Mesh Design, Systems of Systems, Systems Engineering, Zero Trust Architecture, Access Management, DoD Classification Implementation, and Microservice Architecture.
Desired Experience
  • Experience with DataBricks, Gitlab, or Jira.
  • Experience with Spark.
  • Experience with specific cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Specific experience working with government agencies.
  • Experience in a PWS workflow environment.
