Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Sr Instructional Designer. The Sr Instructional Designer is a self-starter who demonstrates leadership, innovation, and expertise in instructional design methodologies and web-based eLearning technologies. This individual will design, develop, and deliver engaging product and sales training for TGCS global sales teams and business partners.

You will partner with subject matter experts, marketing, services, and channel managers to assess learning needs, conceptualize solutions, and deliver scalable, cost-effective training. Your work will directly impact sales productivity, partner adoption, and customer success.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design with expertise in adult learning theory, training methodologies, and needs analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, Vyond) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proven success in developing sales enablement programs for global audiences.
  • Exceptional ability to storyboard, script, and design visually engaging and interactive content.
  • Excellent collaboration, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate training effectiveness and improve programs.

Preferred:
  • In-depth knowledge of the TGCS product portfolio and global sales channels.
  • Experience working in technology, retail, or software solution industries.
  • Familiarity with rapid eLearning development tools and responsive design for mobile learning.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, sales-ready training content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with global client technical representatives, distributors, and channel managers to assess learning needs and determine training solutions that improve product adoption and sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, services managers, and technical presales SMEs to source accurate and relevant content for training programs.
  • Design, storyboard, and develop engaging, interactive eLearning modules, blended learning experiences, and instructor-led training.
  • Create sales training materials that demonstrate how TGCS solutions address real-world business challenges.
  • Deliver "live" and recorded product updates to global sales and services teams.
  • Maintain, update, and refresh course content, assessments, and curriculum across multiple delivery formats.
  • Conduct formative and summative evaluations to measure training effectiveness and implement improvements.
  • Optimize training delivery methods to reduce costs and maximize learner engagement (e.g., converting ILT to eLearning or leveraging rapid development tools).
  • Support ongoing development of TGCS's global skills-based sales curriculum.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship on instructional design best practices within the team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
