Job Summary

Support the Packaging Team with the design, development and implementation of product packaging and retail displays. Drive projects to meet Marketing and Sales goals, involvement encompasses initial design ideation, testing, item setup, coordination with production and distribution teams.

Internship Timeframe: January to June 2026


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help facilitate activities around the design and development of protective and creative structural packaging and retail displays, both for retail presentation and distribution.
  • Manage packaging performance and distribution testing to ensure integrity through distribution and at retail.
  • Create and manage packaging and material specifications for components, packout, and palletization.
  • Develop production Bills-of-Material (BOMs) to define materials and operations process.
  • Coordinate projects with internal packaging facilities to facilitate manufacturability and production efficiencies.
  • Help team manage vendors and contract packaging operations on potential designs to determine production capabilities, methods to optimize materials, structural components, and production efficiency.
  • Request quotations and compile cost estimates for Marketing and Finance teams.
  • Evaluate and implement cost improvement opportunities.
  • Support Marketing and Sales teams with tools and information for customer meetings and presentations. Including specifications, prototypes, mockups, renderings.
  • Manage projects in coordination with the Creative graphics team to bring structural concepts to life. Provide specifications and guidelines so programs can be manufactured effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist with administrative duties aligned with Purchasing Department strategies.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably in Package Engineering or Industrial & Systems Engineering

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Effective planning skills with attention to details/accuracy
  • Effectively organize and prioritize work information and tasks
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across the organization and promote teamwork
  • Ability to problem-solve including problem identification, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, effectiveness verification
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Goal-oriented and self-directed
