THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and processing of all commodity and service contracts and procurements for our offices' information technology (IT) purchases. Duties will include providing guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees in the interpretation and application of procurement and contracting rules and regulations. Additionally, you will initiate actions to improve existing procedures, advise services, and maintain all aspects of purchasing and storeroom functions for adherence to established policies and procedures. In this role, you will work independently, keeping the support manager informed of any significant issues. You will also coordinate with customers and prioritize, organize, and complete assignments in a timely manner. Work is reviewed against operational objectives and feedback from supported program areas.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours will range from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The selected candidate will decide their work schedule.
  • Parking is located at the building and is free!
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
