We are looking for a Manager, IT Platforms & Networking, to lead the planning, operations, and continuous improvement of our enterprise infrastructure. As a Trex Manager, IT Platforms & Networking, you will be looked to as an innovator in the manufacturing process and expected to manage the company's core IT platforms, cloud, and on-premise infrastructure, and enterprise-wide network operations across corporate, manufacturing, and distribution sites. This role is a key member of our Information Technology team.

Infrastructure and Platform Management:



  • Oversee the daily operations, health, and performance of infrastructure platforms including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup systems.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure), ensuring alignment with security, performance, and cost optimization goals.
  • Lead lifecycle management, capacity planning, and modernization efforts for infrastructure components.


Enterprise Networking:



  • Manage the design, implementation, and support of robust, secure, and high-performance network services (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN).
  • Ensure consistent network availability and performance across all sites including corporate offices, manufacturing facilities, and remote users.
  • Monitor network traffic, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure strong failover and redundancy mechanisms.


Operational Excellence and Support:



  • Lead the incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for infrastructure and network-related issues.
  • Establish and maintain monitoring, alerting, and reporting practices to proactively manage system and network performance.
  • Ensure adherence to change management, security, and disaster recovery protocols.


Team Leadership and Vendor Management:



  • Manage a team of infrastructure and network engineers, fostering skill development, accountability, and service ownership.
  • Coordinate with external service providers and vendors to deliver and support critical infrastructure services.
  • Align internal and external resources to support hybrid (onshore/offshore) support models as needed.


Security and Compliance:



  • Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure platforms and networks meet enterprise security and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement secure configurations, patching schedules, and vulnerability remediation practices across all platforms.
  • Support audit, documentation, and IT risk mitigation efforts related to infrastructure and networking domains.


DIRECT REPORTS

Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for a team of 5 direct reports.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires 10% overnight travel. A valid driver's license is required.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and networking, including 2+ years in a leadership role. We want to hear from you if you have previous experience as a Team Lead or IT Infrastructure Manager, with proven expertise managing hybrid environments, enterprise networks, and core IT platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring:



  • Deep understanding of networking technologies and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with server and cloud architecture in hybrid environments, including AWS and/or Azure.
  • Proven experience leading major infrastructure projects from planning through execution, organizing work, managing timelines, and driving results, preferably using Agile methodology.
  • Strong customer and stakeholder management skills, serving as a key point of contact between business teams and infrastructure teams.
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party service providers to deliver critical infrastructure and networking solutions.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
