Testing and Quality Assurance Specialist

Summary:

The Testing and Quality Assurance Specialist validates performance, scalability, and usability of the data mesh and self-service tools, ensuring reliable deliverables.

*This role is based in Falls Church, VA with possible telework.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct performance testing and produce Mesh Infrastructure Test Report
• Validate metadata harvesting and catalog accuracy
• Perform UAT for self-service portals
• Monitor data quality metrics and compliance

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
• Proficiency in writing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Familiarity with testing tools
• Knowledge of defect tracking and reporting processes
• Ability to perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
• ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
• Mid Level (3-5 years, 2+ in DoD/healthcare)
• Minimum 3+ years in testing/QA
• Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Apache JMeter, sandbox environments.
• Familiarity with MIP and related data systems.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually.
