POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Materials Supervisor the Shipping/Warehouse Coordinator has responsibility for ensuring the safe, proper, and accurate packing and shipping of ATI equipment in a lean manufacturing environment. The Shipping/Warehouse Coordinator assists with inventory maintenance, shipping and receiving. The Shipping/Warehouse Coordinator is the last line of defense of overall outbound quality of our manufactured products.

Primary responsibilities include:

* Review open order report and determine orders ready for shipment. Coordinate with the production department on sequence of orders.

* Resolve discrepancies between paperwork and outgoing shipments.

* Receive material in ERP system and validate we received materials/qty on the vendor packing list

* Pick orders and package finished products for safe and accurate shipping. Complete all inventory transactions to ensure product and lot traceability.

* Perform and track daily cycle count on finished goods.

* Identify potential inventory shortages and communicate them to relevant departments.

* Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries.

* Coordinate with the customer service department on expedited orders and orders needing specialty packaging.

* Maintenance of inventory such as bin location transfers, cycle counting and other processes involving incoming and outgoing materials.

* Assist vendors with VMI inventory as needed, assisting in filling bins. Communicate quantities of VMI packing supplies needed weekly and coordinate delivery with the vendor.

* Responsible for maintaining floor stock and Kanban cards.

* Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly warehouse.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Background and Skills Required:

* H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

* Minimum 3 years shipping or packing experience in a technical manufacturing or distribution environment.

* Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office 365.

* Familiarity with ERP, shipping or warehouse management software.

* Ability to use hand and power tools.

* Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with various departments within the organization.

* Strong attention to detail.

Additional Experience, Knowledge & Skills Preferred

* Related experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Technical or vocational education.

* Experience operating forklifts and powered pallet jacks.

* Proficient with common carrier shipping methods.

* Understanding of international shipping and customs practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

* Ability to lift and carry up to 35 to 65 lbs. on a regular basis.

* Ability to walk around the production facility as well as between their desk and customer service to resolve problems and obtain information.

* Verbally communicates with other team members, and carriers in-person and over the phone.

* Visually inspects outbound orders and packing slips for inbound packages.

* Read and interprets information into software programs, inputs information into customer orders.
