The annual salary range for this position is $118,000 - $153,000 This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan Application Window Open date: August 19, 2025 Next review date: Wednesday, Sep 3, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Wednesday, Dec 31, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The University of California, Davis, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for an Assistant Professor in the Clin X or In Residence series with a focus on research in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) research and related clinical experience. Experience in autism research as well and co-occurrence of ADHD and autism are of particular interest. The incumbent will conduct research in epidemiological studies (specifically neighborhood variables) and ADHD, cognition and reward-related research and ADHD, distractibility and use of virtual reality technology and ADHD. Research into ADHD symptoms in autism will also be expected. The incumbent will be expected to be involved in conducting psychological screening of volunteers qualifying for research studies. The incumbent will also be expected to train and supervise clinical graduate students in psychological testing and interviewing. The incumbent is expected to serve as a co-investigator and as PI on funded projects. In addition to these research and training activities, the candidate will provide consultation, clinical and diagnostic services in the Children's Behavioral Health Center of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and/or the MIND Institute Massie Family Clinic. The incumbent will provide teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, participate in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations, provide service to department and school committees. This individual should also have ability to foster collegiality and work collaboratively in a diverse environment and adhere to University policies and procedures. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has approximately 65 residents in six residency training programs and 90 faculty and staff psychiatrists and psychologists at the UC Davis Medical Center and the Northern California VA Health System. The UC Davis MIND Institute (Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorders) is a collaborative international research center, committed to the awareness, understanding, prevention, care, and cures of neurodevelopmental disorders. The UC Davis MIND Institute clinic provides comprehensive evidence-based assessments of children with possible neurodevelopmental disorders. Experience in conducting group and individual therapies for ADHD may be expected and considered a preferred skill. This recruitment is conducted at the Assistant Rank and the resulting hire will be at the Assistant rank in this series regardless of the proposed appointee's qualifications. Qualified candidates must possess a PhD in psychology, clinical psychology internship training, postdoctoral training and be licensed (or license eligible) in California. Preferred qualifications
