Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Quality Program Manager to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking an experienced Quality Program Manager (QPM), to join our growing team in our Bridgeport, WV facility. This position requires an action and results oriented individual who can effectively achieve demanding development and production goals. This individual must also be able to interact and communicate at all levels of the organization.

The role of the QPM is to act as the primary point of contact for all customer/program specific quality management activities within the assigned program office. The QPM proactively manages actions required to ensure Quality while maintaining on-time delivery performance on behalf of the program.

- Ensure customer contractual requirements: Monitor the compliance (perform audits) to contractual specifications & requirements, designs, and documented procedures. Ensure compliance of deliverable end items to the customer requirements.
- Ensure Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance: Develop, document, and manage the Customer and/or program-specific Quality Assurance Plans. Ensure the QMS is robust and complies with all AS9100 criteria. Ensure compliance with procedures and Standard Work throughout the implementation of the contracts.
- Develop, deploy, monitor, update and deliver customer and/or program-specific proactive, forward-looking quality performance metrics to include, but not limited to, delivered quality, Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), responsiveness to customer requests and customer satisfaction. Support MRB activities.
- Apply QE principles whenever required, including statistical and predictive analysis, FMEA, and DoE to conduct failure and/or preemptive analysis.
- Lead teams to develop and provide effective RCCA and CAPA.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance positive customer relationships to build a cooperative environment influential to both existing contract performance and new contract negotiations.

Minimum Requirements

- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
- Must be a US Person.

Preferred Requirements

- BS degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred.
- Minitab or equivalent statistical data analysis experience.
- ASQ certifications in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, Continuous Improvement, or Auditing.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.
- Ability to transport objects up to 35 pounds as well as consistently stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb and kneel when required.
- Must be able to work alternate shifts and/or extended hours if required.
- Work onsite in Bridgeport, WV.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $62,000.00 to $110,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $77,000.00 to $138,000.00
