Job Description

The Business Management Lead is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic execution, and business performance across the Capital Markets operating unit (OU). Serving as a key advisor to the President of Capital Markets, this role ensures the seamless execution of strategic initiatives, cross-functional alignment, and governance while advancing the business's long-term growth objectives.

The Business Management Lead plays a critical role in prioritizing initiatives across the OU and the respective Portfolios, overseeing business planning, managing key programs, and facilitating internal and external communications. This position will partner closely with leadership across the organization, ensuring that business performance, operational discipline, and transformation efforts are executed effectively and deliver measurable results.

This is a senior-level role requiring deep expertise in strategy, business operations, and financial services, with a focus in capital markets. The individual will lead directly and indirectly across multiple functional teams, ensuring alignment with broader FIS initiatives while driving value creation for the business.

Responsibilities:

Business Performance & Strategy Execution:

*Partner with the Portfolio leaders to prioritize initiatives and strategic programs, ensuring disciplined execution and measurable outcomes.
*Lead coordination of the annual planning process, including business unit budgeting, forecasting, and portfolio status reporting, leveraging KPIs, OKRs, and other performance indicators.
*Drive business performance to plan and long-range plan (LRP) outcomes, ensuring alignment with commercial targets and operational goals.
*Facilitate business reporting, governance forums, and leadership meetings, ensuring clear visibility into progress and outcomes.

Strategic Initiatives & Program Management:

*Lead special projects focused on business transformation, operational efficiency, and growth acceleration
*Align Operating Unit roadmap with short and long term funding and commercial plans, partnering with finance and strategy teams to ensure accountability.
*Drive rollout and adoption of value streams and Agile product development practices across the organization.

Cross Functional Collaboration:

*Act as the primary liaison between the Operating Unit and key functional teams including Finance, Strategy, Product, Technology, and Commercial Operations. Collaborate to drive reporting transparency and accelerate decision-making.
*Oversee the execution of cross functional programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with commercial priorities.
*Partner with key strategic partners such as commercial management and client-facing teams to drive client centric-initiatives and ensure alignment with industry trends / benchmarks.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

*Develop and execute a centralized communication strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across internal and external stakeholders.
*Support leadership in delivering key updates, including business reviews, board reporting, and organizational announcements.
*Lead internal change communication and adoption of process and operational improvements, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
*Drive engagement across leadership forums, ensuring alignment, visibility, and accountability for critical initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

*Extensive leadership experience (10+ years) in business operations, strategy, or program management withing the financial services industry.
*Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross functional initiatives, with experience in transformation, integration, or operational improvement projects.
*Highly articulate communicator who can convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner at all levels of the organization.
*Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
*Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders while driving accountability and results.
*Highly motivated, results-driven, and capable of navigating ambiguity while maintaining focus on strategic priorities.
*Experience operating in fast-paces complex environments with demanding external clients and stakeholders.
*Demonstrated expertise in internal change management, process adoption, and communication strategies.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $236,790.00 - $397,810.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
