Work Schedule:

Onsite - Buffalo, NY Job Summary: Machining Technical Trainers will work as a team to train and mentor employees on the skills and knowledge required to become proficient machinists for Moog precision components. This role ensures that training programs are designed to meet the needs of the organization and its employees, enhancing their technical skills and knowledge. Students will include current employees, new employees, and apprentices. To be considered for the EDM Machining Technical Trainerrole, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • A secondary school qualification (a HS diploma, G.E.D., etc. in the US) or basic vocational/technical education in related discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Extensive Machining Knowledge and Experience: Proven experience in conventional machine tools, manual and CNC machining including programming (Mill, Lathe, EDM, Grind) and manual processes like finishing and metrology.
    • Demonstrates technical expertise for Moog products: Ability to translate Moog specific product and process knowledge to address skills gaps within the organization. Proficiency in Operations IT tools, systems and routers, like Teamcenter
    • Ability to coach/mentor students: Ability to train on machine operations, programming, machine safety, and coach students through kit-based learning in multiple work centers.
  • Instructor Expertise:
    • Communication and Engagement:Excellent communication skills to effectively teach and mentor students. Ability to clearly and concisely present training presentations, engage students, and provide one on one coaching.
    • Teaching Ability:Experience in training or mentoring, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles. Coordinate and deliver training sessions, including hands-on workshops, seminars, and online courses.
    • Training Needs Analysis:Conduct skills gap analyses to identify training needs and develop appropriate training solutions for each student, and for the campus.
    • Course Development:Design and develop technical training courses for various levels, from beginners to advanced users.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration:Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and industry standards.
    • Evaluation and Improvement:Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics, and implement improvements as needed.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
