What you'll do:

Reporting to the Director, Social Media, the Associate, Social Media will be primarily responsible for overseeing all day-to-day efforts across our social media platforms. You will expand our social audiences and increase engagement by consistently publishing strategic social content and engaging in ongoing community management. This position works closely with the global marketing team and requires a high level of collaboration and communication.



  • Plan and curate social media content calendars


  • Execute all day-to-day publishing on social media channels


  • Ideate social-first content to engage our existing audiences while reaching new audiences


  • Support the content development process


  • Implement new tactics to grow our audiences and increase engagement across existing channels


  • Proactively monitor conversations and trends across social media and respond where it makes sense


  • Provide insights based on social content performance to continuously improve our content offering


  • Develop a deep understanding of our social audiences, and master our brand voice to convey key messages across channels
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams globally to build meaningful social media plans to support business initiatives and campaigns


Who you are:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field, preferred


  • 2-4 years of relevant marketing experience


  • Understanding of social platforms and what drives performance


  • Experience with social media management on all major platforms


  • Able to demonstrate success in increasing community engagement


  • Creative thinker, clear communicator, self-starter, continual learner, incredibly organized, and detail-oriented


  • Strong writer of social-optimized copy


  • Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines


  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively


  • Eagerness to learn, experiment, and bring new ideas to the team


  • Experience analyzing social content and offering insights on performance


  • Experience using project management tools, Asana preferred


  • Experience using social media management tools, Sprout Social preferred


  • High-level understanding of content and digital marketing across multiple mediums #LI-LM2

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$39,800 $73,000 USD
