What we're seeking:

The objective of this position is to ensure the reliability of facilities, enhance quality performance, and implement process improvements while reducing costs. The individual will be responsible for managing facility operations across multiple state areas. This role presents ongoing challenges across a wide range of issues. The candidate must be capable of providing guidance to direct reports while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of various projects simultaneously. This position reports to the Facilities Senior Manager. In this in-person role, you will be required to report to our Saint Johns, Muskegon, Alma, or Owosso, MI work location to complete your work responsibilities.

What you'll do:



  • Broad-based Facilities Management/supervision experience gained over a minimum of 5+
  • Knowledge of applicable Local, State, and Federal Regulations such as OSHA, ADA, and environmental quality issues. Work with governmental authorities to obtain necessary approvals as required
  • A very strong background in Commercial/Industrial building systems, including HVAC, Power Distribution, Fire Detection/Suppression, and Automated Building Controls
  • Responsible for providing direction on issues related to Facilities and Real Estate - including financial and building management systems, building/mechanical systems maintenance, building renovation, and construction within the regional area assigned
  • High-level project management - provides design concepts, construction, and renovation for existing facilities
  • Oversee space planning requirements, internal moves, and tenant improvements
  • Provide direction in developing project scope, budgets, and schedules to ensure compliance with capital budget and expense funding level
  • Develop janitorial and grounds service level standards and metrics based on the type of occupants and facilities
  • Manage and validate adherence to company policies and procedures related to the department, as well as knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, to ensure compliance.
  • Problems under emergency conditions, reviewing all available facts, and making prudent decisions when a facility component has failed (i.e., emergency generator, HVAC units)
  • Experience in procurement and sales functions, including specification development, evaluation, and selection of vendors, requests for proposal, negotiation, interpretation, and administration of contracts

  • Highly results-oriented position that requires the need, at times, to put in additional hours and be available in emergencies
  • Ability to establish clear priorities quickly
  • High personal integrity and ethics with uncompromising standards
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Working Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project applications.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Valid Driver's License and be able to travel
  • Required to support the dispatching of off-hour emergency calls



Team Management:



  • Manage the regional facilities' "Team," consisting of internal and external resources
  • Be a leader and motivate the team during industry changes and within Frontier
  • Communication and coordination with people at all levels throughout the company, including operations, engineering, human resources, call and plant service centers, legal, regulatory, sales, marketing, and any other personnel within the region



Financial Responsibility:



  • Lead the development of capital & expense budgets for assigned facilities and manage budgets to the approved level
  • Reduce costs while maintaining required service levels
  • Review capital work orders for validity and best pricing before routing for approval


Business Environment:



  • This position has highly personal interactions with individuals at all organizational levels
  • Requires good written and verbal communication skills, along with facility systems usage, in managing the business
  • Provides a high level of reward and accomplishment
  • Requires a highly motivated and seasoned individual

  • Salary Range: $89,000 to $145,000
