PRIMARY PURPOSE

Performs supply and inventory control functions to meet the equipment and supply needs of the department.

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

• None

Experience:

• Preferred 2 years of experience in material services and inventory control.
• Must have a working knowledge of parts, materials, supplies, and equipment commonly used in repair and maintenance of commercial buildings and/or hospitals.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

• None

Equivalent Education and/or Experience:

• May have equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for the experience requirements.

Skills or Special Abilities:

• Must be a self starter, detail-oriented and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with hospital employees of all levels and vendors to resolve supply and inventory issues and problems.
• Must be able to demonstrate good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of material management processes and procedures, inventory control procedures and delivery processes.
• Must have good computer skills (Microsoft Office) and be able to demonstrate proficiency in the PHHS procurement and materials management system within three months of employment.
