Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Cybersecurity Test Engineer to join a team providing cybersecurity supportto th, 48th Cybersecurity Test Squadron (CTS). Cyber Range at Eglin AFB, FL.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with cybersecurity test engineering experience to include, but not limited to":




  • Oversight of cyber test events, to include test planning, coordination, execution, data reduction, analysis, and reporting



  • Track test requirements for team and assist team in meeting those requirements



  • Attend meetings with customers to help test team prepare for events



  • Document and communicate test results effectively to technical and non-technical user groups in written and oral formats



  • Develop test strategies for cybersecurity testing on DoD aircraft and weapon systems



  • Coordinate security analysis activities on systems and/or software to understand and identify potential vulnerabilities



  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to test teams



Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity or Computer Science or similar technical degree and 3 - 10 years of relevant technical experience in the field of project management of complex systems. Additional experience may be substituted for education.



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen



  • Active SECRET clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret - (Single Scope Background Investigation).



  • Must be able to obtain required certification within 6 months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.



  • Air Force acquisition project management experience



  • Experience designing and implementing test strategies for DOD software or hardware tests



  • Experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders to define project scope, maintain project status, develop schedules and budgets, and develop project documentation



  • Effective oral and written communications skills, good interpersonal communications skills and be comfortable working in a team environment



  • Proficient in the use and integration of MS Office Word, Excel and Power point applications



  • Possess excellent time management skills



  • Must be capable of traveling to TDY locations up to 15-20 weeks per year.





PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS




  • Experience with DoD development and/or operational testing



  • Experience with aircraft and/or weapon systems testing/evaluation



  • Understanding of network security/engineering



  • Certifications: CISSP, CASP, or Security+



  • Job experience in Aircraft and/or Weapon systems architecture/avionics/embedded systems



  • Passionate about cybersecurity and delivering products that exceeds expectations



  • Exceptional leadership skills



  • Exceptional organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills



  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills



  • Insatiable drive to understand unique technologies



  • Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
