Job Description
Work Environment: This position will be located at Catalyst Campus, or the ENSCO leased facility in Colorado Springs, CO. It is a potential hybrid work environment with minimal travel. The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key member of a program management team supporting financial operations within a Department of Defense environment. This position is responsible for independently executing a wide range of financial management functions, including budget execution, fund obligation tracking, contract baseline establishment, and financial reconciliation. The Analyst will coordinate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), contracting offices, and accounting liaisons to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial execution and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day financial operations, including budget execution, funding transitions from commitment to obligation, and contract funding baselines
- Draft funding documentation (e.g., LOAs, MIPRs), verify Time/Purpose/Amount compliance, and coordinate with the Accounting Liaison Office for certification prior to contracting actions
- Collaborate with IPTs to support invoice acceptance and reconciliation
- Perform reconciliation of current, prior, and canceling year budgets across CCaR, DFAS, and related government financial systems
- Validate and process financial documents, including Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs), MORDs, ODLs, and Contingent Liabilities
- Generate, submit, and track Upward Obligation Adjustments (UOAs) and Corrective Action Instruction (CAI) packages in FM Suite
- Prepare and maintain detailed reconciliation reports highlighting completed actions, discrepancies, and recommended corrective actions
- Maintain financial tracking related to the Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Monitor Contract Funds Status Reports (CFSRs) and reconcile conformed contracts to obligations and expenditures
- Support expiring and canceling year fund management, contract closeout, and preparation of commitment document packages in accordance with DoD regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics Experience: Minimum of 12 years of relevant financial management experience, including:
- At least 3 years supporting financial management for DoD acquisition programs
- Proven ability to work independently and brief senior-level leadership clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated experience with the following systems (minimum 3 years each):
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaR)
- Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS)
- Financial Management Suite (FM Suite)
- Experience using additional systems is highly desirable:
- MOCAS
- Wide Area Workflow
- Electronic Data Access
- Shared Data Warehouse
- Standard Contract Reconciliation Tool
Security Clearance Requirement:
- Active Secret clearance is required at the time of hire. May upgrade to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing maybe required . This would require the ability to move files, or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Mental Demands: Reading; communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control and professionalism. We hire military.
