Job Location: Duke University Hospital Job Summary The APP augments a physician's ability to provide a thorough evaluation of a patient's medical/surgical history. Responsibilities include provide direct patient care services and performs medical acts as an APP under the supervision of the supervisory physician to patients >12 years of age of patients with lower extremity wounds and amputations. Will be responsible for caring for patients on the Threatened Limb/Limb Loss Team, primarily inpatient with some outpatient Job Duties and Responsibilities
Job Eligibility Requirements Education NP: Graduate of accredited MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner program for adult care. PA: Graduate of arc accredited masters or doctoral degree physician assistant program. Licensure NP: Current unrestricted RN license issued by or recognized by the NCBON with approval to practice as an NP. PA: Current unrestricted medical license issued by the NCMB with approval to practice as a PA. Both: Federal and State DEA prescriptive authority Certification NP: FNP, ANP, AGNP, ACNP, AGACNP Must also have RNFA in addition to NP certification. If you don't currently have RNFA, you must get within 1 year of hire. Must also have WOC certification in addition to NP certification. If you don't currently ahve WOC certification, you must get within 1 year of hire. PA: PA-C Experience
