JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Financial Care Counselor

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Check patients in/out. Greet and provide assistance to all patients and visitors.
  • Make appointments for patients checking out and in any WQ that requires an appointment to be scheduled.

    • This includes, but not limited to, creating estimates, scheduling referrals, scheduling procedures, and scheduling radiology.


  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding clinical information required toresolve issues relating to coverage and payment.
  • Obtain benefits, prior authorization/pre certification and medical necessity reviews for services prior to being rendered.
  • Calculate and collect payment for services.
  • Ensure all insurance requirements are met prior to patient's arrival and inform patients of their financial responsibilities prior to arrival for services.



JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS



  • Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally required through a high school education, with some postsecondary education preferred. Additional training or working knowledge of related business.
  • Two years experience working in hospital service access, clinical service access, physician office or billing and collections. Or, an Associate's degree in a healthcare related field and one year of experience working with the public. Or, a Bachelor's degree and one year of experience working with the public.



JOB HOURS

The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
