Principal Advisor Studies - Borates Key role influencing future business direction Exciting development opportunity to propel your future career path Boron, California based role (or greater LA region) For California based roles the expected global salary is $143,000-$196,900 About the role Finding better ways to provide the materials the world needs. We are looking for a Principal Advisor Studies to lead and deliver strategic growth studies ($50M-100M+ capex) for Rio Tinto Borates. It will require strong engagement with a variety of stakeholders across the global business including senior management, operations, sales, logistics, business analysis, finance, HSE, HR, community and external affairs. This role will provide excellent exposure to both the Borates and Battery Materials leadership team with an opportunity to drive the future direction of the business. Reporting to the Strategic Planning Manager, key responsibilities include: Lead strategic growth studies with a focus on concept, order of magnitude, pre-feasibility and feasibility stages. Oversee project engineering, analysis and evaluation. Critically analyze project assumptions and drive value engineering opportunities. Prepare and present study findings and recommendations to GM level and above including various Investment Committees. Manage studies through their numerous study stages. Obtain approvals from both internal and external stakeholders to move the study through its stages. Provide expert advice for studies within the Borates business. Identify and implement improvements to study delivery methods.
