Cybersecurity Governance Lead

The Opportunity:

When our country's cybersecurity is on the line, simply reacting is not enough-we need a plan, and we need strategic policy development. That's why we need you, a governance specialist with the expertise required to guide a team analyzing the policies that determine our cyber resilience.

As a cyber strategic planning and policy development specialist on our team, you'll oversee staff working on the assessment of governance, including current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks. You'll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. As you guide your client through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you'll lead the team in the development of a strategic cyber roadmap. You'll work with the client to ensure they operate securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity governance programs within federal agencies or contractors
  • Experience supporting audits, assessments, and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST, FISMA, or FedRAMP
  • Knowledge of risk management methodologies and compliance requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls
  • Public Trust
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Industry Certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CGEIT Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with privacy and data governance regulations such as CUI, PII, or HIPAA
  • Experience with GRC tools such as Archer, ServiceNow, or eMASS
  • Experience with cloud security governance, including AWS, Azure, or federal cloud environments
  • Experience with supply chain cybersecurity risk management
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust and other emerging federal cybersecurity initiatives
  • Possession of excellent communication skills to brief executives and government officials

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
