Airgas is Hiring for a Distribution Manager/Backup CDL Driver in Louisville, KY, Here! We are looking for you !
  • Forklift Training and Certification provided

  • HazMat Preferred (60 day period to obtain for right candidate)

  • Monday - Friday, start time 7am

  • Benefits Eligibility: 30 days

  • Interfacing with customer base in all aspects of our business to include order entry, providing administrative support, answering phones and filing.

  • Processes ordering for office supplies, tracks purchasing orders issued to vendors, completes goods receipts on purchase orders.

  • Gladly interacts with all customers and associates following CS2 and promotes a positive attitude within the Airgas team.

  • Performs other duties as assigned and follows company policies and procedures.

Backup Driver Duties

  • Operates a Class A Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes.

  • Collects empty cylinders from customers.

  • Records transactions and obtains signatures. Addresses customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction.

  • Handles loading/unloading. Conducts pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • 5+ years experience with medical and industrial distribution customer accounts, knowledge about cylinder movement and tracking.

  • SAP experience a plus.

  • Excellent customer service & communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently to support team objectives, company requirements and at times under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Intermediate to expert level computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic; office practices and procedures; departmental rules and regulations.

  • Ability to maintain established records and files in a timely manner.

  • Ability to meet the public well, listen to their needs and to deal effectively with their questions or problems while following company policies and managers directives, seeking assistance when needed.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers and managers or officials in other departments.

  • Must be action oriented with the ability to work independently and with supervision.

  • Ability to solve problems involving several variables in different types of situations.

  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplac
