Job Description

Client Legal Services Practice Director will oversee our In-House counsel support teams that work with in house legal teams and leadership. In this role the leader will implement Allstate's efforts to centralize global support teams consisting of paralegals and support staff who are closely integrated with In House Attorneys. This leader will lead these teams and partner with Client Legal Services leadership and Legal Operations to enhance legal operational efficiency and business processes for the In-House Counsel department. This position will report to the Associate General Counsel and Vice President, Client Legal Services working closely in collaboration with Attorneys and Legal Operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee entire paralegal and support staff functions, building vision and strategy aligned to Law and Regulation operating model.
  • Lead and drive accountability for CLS paralegal and support staff functional areas. This includes driving efficiencies, workload management and reviews for efficiencies.
  • Develop a centralized integrated support staff vision supporting In House Counsel.
  • Work cross-functionally with attorneys to manage outcomes for case management.
  • Produce reporting and presentations to achieve clear, measurable outcomes for In House Counsel.
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal Operations to optimize the use of legal tech tools, with the goals of harmonizing internal business processes and optimizing tools to enhance efficiency, decision making, and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with senior legal leaders to increase operational efficiencies within the department.
  • Perform other functions as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This job has supervisory duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Master's Degree in Business (Strongly Preferred)
  • 10 or more years of experience in a In House Counsel organization, preferably in a corporate legal environment. (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $171,000.00 - 230,250.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
