Job Summary

The Program Manager Education and Learning position in the Office of the Sr VP for Education and Learning (SVPEL) provides administrative and strategic project support to the Office of the Sr Vice Provost for Education and Learning. The position proactively and strategically manages assigned high-level and division-wide initiatives and projects.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: Institute and unit management, faculty, and staff.

This position typically will advise and counsel: Institute and unit management, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Manage and coordinate multiple initiatives, committees, programs and projects as assigned by the Office.

Job Duty 2 -
Provide executive administrative support, to include scheduling, travel arrangements, file maintenance, document coordination, committee support, special projects/programs, and procurement activities.

Job Duty 3 -
Collect, review, and analyze data for reports, presentations, and correspondence. Create presentations and documentation; maintain data on programs or initiatives; and prepare summaries as necessary.

Job Duty 4 -
Interact regularly with program sponsors, stakeholders, program teams, and others to determine their needs and use the existing program methodology to develop plans to address these efficiently

Job Duty 5 -
Support the operational functions of the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education & Student Success (OVPUESS) by serving as backup, as requested.

Job Duty 6 -
May participate in and provide information for the strategic planning process at the unit or department level

Job Duty 7 -
Create program artifacts, agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes for program team; Prepare reports and program documentation

Job Duty 8 -
May provide training, guidance, and direction to other staff, especially as it pertains to the use of tools for effective program management

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other job-related duties assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Two or more years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Certifications, Licenses or Permits:

o Project Management Professional - (PMP)
o Certified Associate in Project Management - (CAPM)

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional customer service orientation, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, both internal and external

KNOWLEDGE
Advanced proficiency in office administration practices and procedures
Demonstrated expertise in executive calendar management and scheduling using Microsoft Outlook or comparable scheduling tools
Knowledge of budget tracking, reconciliation, and unit-level financial administration

SKILLS
Experience with procurement and purchasing processes, preferably in Workday or similar enterprise systems
Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute events and meetings
Strong organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail
