Human Resources Generalist

Location: In office, Staunton, VA.

What you will do:

• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are complying
• Develop policies and procedures for and support the Foreign National employees as a business partner
• Maintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting and Affirmative Action Plans
• Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
• Research training programs, as requested by managers or as required for Corporate-wide training
• Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Administer performance review program for the groups/departments to which incumbent is assigned, to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
• Administer salary administration program for the groups/departments to which the incumbent is assigned, to ensure compliance and equity within organization
• Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews for the groups/departments to which the incumbent is assigned, to determine reasons behind separations

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
• 3+ years of related experience required
• Union or Labor Relations experience preferred

• The typical salary for this position ranges from $73,300-$117,200 in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
