Shift : Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Employment Status: Full Time, Salary

FLSA: Exempt

Travel: 50% - 75% travel

VGS is a highly acclaimed, successful, private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) vocational rehabilitation agency with over 130 years of dedicated experience serving persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment. We are currently seeking a Manager of Summer Youth & Placement Services to perform the following job duties.


Responsibilities


  • Responsible for managing placement staff and ensuring that the department meets budgetary goals this includes placement services,community-based work adjustment/assessments, Pre-ETS services, and/or vocational evaluation opportunities.
  • Responsible for execution of all components of the summer youth program including planning and developing sites, managing transportation, completing reports, hiring of job coaches,onboarding students and job coaches, and payroll.
  • Hiring and supervision of all department job coaches includingsummer youth and placement including assigning and training coaches
  • Customize services and accommodate requests made by referral sources and area employers to provide new opportunities and services that best meet the needs of our individuals.
  • Develop and assist in growing our services.
  • Develop employer sites for summer youth programming, community based adjustment/assessments, and community employment.
  • Align selection of assigned employers/businesses with the service plan/vocational goals, maintaining consistently high frequency and quality communication with individual's job placement and supports team including the coordination of vocational specialists/job coaches on site.
  • Manage a caseload of less than 10 and facilitate placement into appropriate, long-term employment commensurate with individual's goals, interests, abilities, and limitations.
  • Assist program individuals in their job search by ensuring they attain and maintain solid job search skills and by providing service support and coordination.
  • Comply with CARF accreditation programmatic/administrative requirements.
  • Liaison to the Employment Collaborative


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of the two is required.
  • Must have a CESP or complete during an agreed upon timeframe (3-6 months)
  • Demonstrated skills in salesmanship and marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of computer operations, and Microsoft software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Must have reliable transportation
