Project/Unit Description

EKMA Division in ACL.


Job Purpose

The Solution Architect defines, conceptualizes, describes, and manages an engineering solution specific to the enterprise system. Responsible for understanding the architecture, design, and development of software built for sponsors and running on secure cloud computing networks, specifically focusing on fully automated deployments. Additional responsibilities include understanding how integration with third-party software vendors will impact the system and providing guidance on impact to the enterprise. This position will interact with government sponsors and government technical experts to translate business requirements into technical requirements and provide guidance to technical teams for execution of requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into well-documented technical requirements
  • Develop Data Exchange specifications and data models.
  • Design and develop cloud-based software solutions
  • Implements System Architecture design (compute, hardware/virtual, OS, storage, networking, security)
  • Contributor to the development of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CICD) processes using DevOps and DevSecOps principles.
  • Implementer of Architecture as Code -Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm development
  • Linux, SELinux, and Ansible infrastructure maintenance -Virtual machine management.
  • Participate in Risk Management Framework for software development


Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain Network infrastructures
  • Validate security control configuration on systems
  • Network troubleshooting, both internal and for external stakeholders
  • Regular collaboration with sponsors and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to research reports and white papers
  • Researching new technologies to implement
  • Manage reporting dashboards
  • Author SOP to document processes


Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related
  • Knowledge of:
    - Business approaches
    -IT infrastructure
    -Enterprise/network architecture
  • Skills:
    -Data management
    -Networking
    -Prioritizing and managing tasks
    -Understands and employs best practices
  • Abilities:
    -Experience with agile PM approach
    -Work with Development teams to communicate requirements and implementation needs
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Security+ certification
  • 2 years experience
  • Knowledge of:
    -Security/compliance standards
    -Solutions design
  • Skills:
    -Resource management
  • Abilities:
    -Analysis of technical environments
    -Continuous learning
