Each year, our team empowers children and families in Kansas, Missouri, and beyond through three key service areas:



  • Youth & Family Support - We help youth gain independence through social and living support programs while empowering families with the skills and resources they need to become resilient and successful.
  • Foster Care & Adoption - We reunify and unite families while recruiting and providing support to foster parents and youth in foster care.
  • Education & Community Trainings - We help students achieve academic success while giving educators the tools to create safe learning environments to improve their students' behaviors and offer innovative learning opportunities to build and improve knowledge in the community.


We are seeking a Treatment Foster Care Specialist to join our team. The Specialist for the Treatment Foster Care Program coordinates TFC cases including conducting home visits, supporting foster parents, holding treatment review meetings and foster parent support meetings, completing assessments and other paperwork and providing crisis management as needed. Works as part of a treatment team for the client. This position includes traveling to the clients' homes, foster homes and to other appointments. Will participate in recruitment, training and licensing of treatment homes. Will be part of the on-call rotation for foster care and community-based cases.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:



  • Provides in-home support and coaching for Treatment Foster Care Homes, Relative Treatment Foster Care and Treatment Foster Care Transition Services to aid in the development and success of the placement as well as permanency for youth in the program.
  • Assures services provided actively involve the child's family (biological parent(s), adoptive parent(s), foster parent(s), relative caretakers, legal guardians or adults who play a significant role) in the treatment and care of the child while in treatment foster care.
  • Conducts initial and on-going assessments/interview with placement participants and coordinates contacts with child welfare system.
  • Finalizes individual treatment plans for program, child and families upon discussion with program staff, child's family and kinship/foster provider.
  • Visits with youth and/or family as outlined in program guidelines.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant work experience and the following:



  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology or related field is required
  • Master's degree is preferred
  • At least 21 years of age and pass background check and drug screening
  • A valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation


Starting Salary: $44,000- $49,000 (Annually)
