Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Work Location: Plymouth, MN 55442

Assignment Duration: 6-month contract (potential for extension)

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hrs/week)

Work Arrangement: Flexible: Monday-Friday preferred, Option for 4/10 schedule (Mon-Thu) if needed

Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate across teams to implement process/document changes.
  • Perform limited cleanroom tasks (15-20% of the role).
  • Participate in team discussions, provide updates, and assist with execution of changes.
  • Optional overtime based on workload (not typically required).
  • Day-to-Day Activities

    • Process and manage engineering change orders (ECOs) via Windchill.
    • Communicate with engineers and operators to ensure accurate execution of changes.
    • Visit cleanroom as needed (PPE required) to support engineering work.
    • Handle office-based documentation and approvals.
    • Work both independently and collaboratively with engineers.
    • Report progress to lead engineer/manager.

      Qualification & Experience:

      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline; civil least preferred).
      • Recent graduate or <1 year of experience (internships acceptable).
      • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with PPE (gowning, gloves, hair/beard covers; masks required in certain areas).
      • Collaboration skills - work effectively with engineers and operators.
      • Strong communication - ability to receive and share technical information clearly.
      • Fast learner/quick adaptability - able to pick up systems and processes quickly.

  • Nice-to-Have Skills

    • Internship or co-op experience in engineering/manufacturing/medical devices.
    • Exposure to document control systems (e.g., Windchill).
    • Prior experience working in regulated or cleanroom environments.


  • Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field acceptable: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, Petroleum, etc.).
    • Civil Engineering less relevant for this role.
    • Master's degree considered overqualified


  • Experience

    • 0-1 year of work experience.
    • Internship or academic project experience acceptable.
    • Candidates with >1 year experience or Master's degrees may be considered overqualified.


  • Environment: Large medical device manufacturing team
  • Work split:

    • 80-85% office/documentation work
    • 15-20% cleanroom work
