- Training all sanitation new hires and providing continuous refresher training for all employees.
- Receive train the trainer training, from a CFS-trained sanitation manager
- The employee will be required to demonstrate they can safely execute all sanitation responsibilities
- Reinforce department clear and concise expectations, about the importance of cleaning in a facility that produces allergen and non-allergen foods
- Create and share weekly progress reports with trainees, supervisor,s and manager
- Standardized and structure the best timelines for cleaning responsibilities, then train employees to consistently achieve them
- Train, coach, encourage, and empower all trainees about our CFS clean is clean and there's nothing in between concepts
- Reinforce, monitor, and follow up to ensure the road map for becoming a successful food sanitation professional is shared and understood, by all sanitation employees
- Handle the day-to-day functions of the department.
- Assure all scheduled persons are present; note absences on the attendance sheet and, reassign work from absent workers
- Check schedule for production equipment needs, have equipment ready for QC and maintenance
- Check the Bakers feed and inform the warehouse when a pick is required
- Check cardboard compactor and trash compactor for issues.
- Start of shift walk thru and assign additional duties as needed.
- Account for all personnel that is in-house. In case of an emergency
- Follow up on all assigned tasks to insure work is executed to expectations and completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain safety awareness within the department. People safety and food safety are our top priorities in this bakery
- Make sure silos, bases, containments, and grounds are checked and cleaned every day/shift daily.
- Insure trashcans have liners and Bakery feed bag holders have rolled on hangers; make sure hand sanitizer and soap stations are stocked and in good working condition.
- Perform a daily inventory of supplies and inform sanitation supervisors of items needed to order. Never put us in a situation where we run out of chemicals
- Upon completion of weekend cleanings responsibilities, inspect and ensure all equipment has been thoroughly cleaned and ready for swabbing. Goals are 96% or higher with first-pass quality, ATP swabs and post opts
- Perform ATP training to ensure team members are properly trained to perform this responsibility to expectations
- Validate and document the pros and cons of all team members' performances, especially during the end-of-the-week environmental cleanings. Therefore, we can assist them with continuously improving and achieving expectations
- Is seen and respected as a leader in the department and plant, by team members and staff, due to the example they role model
- Consistently insures and encourages team members to manage their time properly. Time management is critical to the success of food sanitation professionals.
- Consistently demonstrates pride of ownership and commitment to insuring the department is operating, with a high level of efficiency!
- Fully support and embraces the department's stretch goals and empowerment visions. Being audit-ready at all times, green startups, and sustaining a highly trained team of sanitation professionals
- Ensures that all sanitation tasks and responsibilities are performed and completed with the highest levels of quality possible!
- Assist the team in operations and warehouse, whenever necessary, in order to insure facility cleanliness!
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.
- The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is desirable.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Previous experience in the baking environment is beneficial, not essential.
Shift: 1st Hourly Range: $26-$27 Aspire Bakeries LLC values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, shift, education, skill, and experience within the job or the industry.
