Job Summary:
We are looking for an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain and repair equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of the plant. No previous experience with electrical systems is required, but basic industrial maintenance skills are a must. Familiarity with basic electrical concepts is a plus. You will work closely with a team of experienced technicians to learn and develop your skills. To be successful in this role, the individual must be a motivated, a self-starter, who is dedicated, resourceful and adaptable. Strong work ethic, with a hands-on approach to solving problems is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to keep production running smoothly and reduce unscheduled downtime.
  • Help troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on equipment like conveyors, bearings, spray equipment, and basic machinery.
  • Assist in the operation and upkeep of equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tag-out procedures.
  • Work alongside senior technicians to learn about troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, including basic wiring and using tools like multimeters.
  • Assist with general repairs, including replacing parts or cleaning and lubricating equipment.
  • Keep your work area clean and organized, ensuring tools and equipment are maintained properly.
  • Report any issues or unusual conditions to supervisors.
  • Participate in safety training and follow all plant safety rules.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to help maintain plant operations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, conveyors, basic machines) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical concepts (e.g., using a multimeter) is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work well with others and follow instructions from senior technicians.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols (such as PPE and lockout/tag-out procedures).
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Good communication skills to report issues and work with others.

Work Environment:

Plant Environment - This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions.

Required PPE includes: Safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and pants.

Must be available to work at any time, day (including weekends) and rotating shifts.
