Phillips Medisize, a Molex Company is seeking a Sourcing Manager to lead our category sourcing of electronics and support New Product Introduction/New Product Development.

In this role, you will manage the electronics category supporting Phillips Medisize. You will collaborate with the Global Supply Chain and Category Management organizations, working closely with cross-functional teams across BU, SBM, and NPD/I sourcing to develop category strategies that meet the business' needs. We are seeking an individual with proven leadership skills who can promote cross-functional collaboration between business groups, drive communication, and work to foster a culture of innovation that provides value to the business.

*This is a remote position with preference near a Phillips Medisize or Molex location.

Our Team

Our team is dedicated to optimizing sourcing strategies and supporting product development, ensuring supply. You will play a pivotal role in identifying sourcing opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge to unlock competitive advantages and mitigate risks associated with electronic components. By aligning supplier capabilities with our evolving technical requirements, you'll help drive process improvement and operational excellence throughout the supply chain. Success in this position requires a keen analytical mindset, a strong ability to build strategic supplier partnerships, and the ability to adapt to shifting market dynamics.

This role is the main sourcing contact for engineering teams, handling all BOM line items for assigned projects. You will work with Global and Regional Category Management to implement sourcing and supplier strategies throughout project development.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute cost-effective procurement strategies for assigned categories.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain supply continuity and quality.
  • Manage supplier relationships for Phillips Medisize within Molex.
  • Align category strategies with preferred suppliers for product sourcing.
  • Track sourcing and procurement trends.
  • Collaborate with design teams to control BOM costs through product launch.
  • Identify and contract suppliers for new products in the MPS division.
  • Proactively manage supply risks during product development and launch phases.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of Procurement experience focused on electronic categories (printed circuit board assemblies, printed circuit boards, high-speed cables, or similar direct material categories).
  • Proficiency in pricing and contract negotiation.
  • Strong understanding of the product development process.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive accountability.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization, as well as deliver oral presentations on a moderately complex subject matter.
  • Demonstrated experience driving cross-functional collaboration across business units and geographies.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

This position does not qualify for VISA Sponsorship.

In order to comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations, this position requires applicants to either provide proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status or be eligible to receive an export authorization (a license) under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.


For this role, we anticipate paying $105,000 - $125,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
