Quality Assurance Technician

Staffmark is currently hiring a Quality Assurance Technician in Joliet, IL to support overnight production. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a passion for quality, and experience in manufacturing or food safety environments, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pay: $21.75/hr

The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that all products meet established quality and safety standards before reaching customers. This role involves inspecting finished goods, monitoring production processes, conducting routine checks, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet customer and company specifications
• Verify packaging, labeling, and assembly accuracy
• Monitor production processes to identify potential quality issues
• Perform tests on product samples (e.g., weight, dimensions, appearance)
• Accurately document inspection results and report non-conformances
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Audit the production floor to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Support investigations of customer complaints and assist in implementing solutions
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of materials per food safety standards
• Participate in ongoing training and contribute to process improvements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in quality assurance or food manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of GMPs and food safety regulations is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect product defects
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-variable environment
