Job Summary

The Manager, Supply Chain Applications leads the functional and technical implementation and support of existing and new Oracle EBS supply chain modules and related third party applications that support Darling's supply chain functions. This role will manage resources to and assist in providing functional and technical design, direction, and support to the sales, procurement, plant operations, material compliance and lab functions

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Functional lead for the support of specific sales, procurement, plant operations, material compliance and lab functions
  • Functional lead for deployment of new and existing supply chain application functionality supporting the sales, procurement, plant operations, material compliance and lab functions
  • Project solution lead for the implementation of new software, functions or locations supporting the supply chain functions
  • Owns relationships with key business owners and subject matter experts to regularly review customer satisfaction, project priorities, service needs, process improvements, etc.
  • Directly supervises employees and contractors to provide support and implementation services for the supply chain functions
  • Manages and initiates enhancements to corporate functions in order to streamline, document and improve existing and new processes using Oracle EBS and third-party software solutions
  • Provides second/third level functional and technical support for Oracle EBS and other corporate applications
  • Documents and communicates functional and technical specifications for system enhancements, bug fixes and communicates requirements to IT development team
  • Manages and supports quality assurance and testing on newly developed customizations and reports before deploying to the user group
  • Creates, maintains, and manages execution of user acceptance testing with supported business functions
  • Review and manages documentation and training to end user groups on existing functionality and newly developed enhancements
  • Assists in ensuring the timely reporting of operations information as well as supporting and improving the monthly close process
  • Manages QA services for all applicable Oracle EBS patches and upgrades
  • Oversees the development of ad-hoc reports, data extracts, etc. to meet one-time or continuing business needs using available tools (BI Publisher, eIS, Toad, etc.)
  • All other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle eBusiness Suite Applications (OM, PO, INV, OPM, QA)
  • Minimum of 4 full lifecycle implementations with Oracle eBusiness Suite
  • Minimum of 2 full lifecycle implementations of ERP systems as a functional lead
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Information Systems or related field is required
  • Ability to write ad-hoc SQL queries is required
  • Business relationship management skills required
  • Direct employee supervision experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate PL/SQL knowledge, techno-functional skills preferred
  • Project lead experience in large projects preferred
  • Accounting degree/experience highly preferred
  • Oracle Development experience preferred
  • Advanced MS-Excel skills, including statistical analysis
  • Highly organized; superior time management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-motivated and works well independently and in a team-setting
