Job Description

Torch is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer/Analyst to support cutting-edge missile defense systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position is based in the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Government Systems Integration Laboratory (GSIL) Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) facility where tactical hardware and software, as well as modeling and simulation tools, are used to assess the IBCS missile defense system. The selected candidate will support the analysis of data generated during test execution and will provide feedback to the government customers. Responsibilities include analyzing tactical system and simulation data, running system and component-level simulations, and testing to assess missile defense system performance, new feature implementation, as well as fixes to the software.

Excellent communication skills are required to effectively present missile defense system performance to the government customer and the missile defense system stakeholder community. This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the success and safety of the warfighter. The position is located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities Include



  • Analyze missile defense system behavior to identify potential improvements in tactical software, inform future capabilities/improvements, and support tactical defense designs.
  • Apply statistical analysis techniques to large datasets to assess and communicate system performance.
  • Analyze data produced through new component integration efforts and provide actionable insights
  • Present findings clearly and effectively to government customers and program stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Possess a Master's of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other STEM related degree
  • 8+ years experience in an air and missile defense field or a BS Degree with 10 years of related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences or facilitate group discussions and develop accurate written materials to communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Established ability to absorb extensive technical details and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
  • Experience in building solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers
  • Proven track record in demonstrating strong initiative and ownership over projects
  • Established proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Possess a Secret Clearance
