Position Highlights:

Provide patient-centered anatomic pathology services in collaboration with our nationally recognized and diverse team of oncologic physicians at City of Hope National Medical Center and Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles County, Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, and national cancer center sites in Phoenix, Chicago, and Atlanta through our digital pathology initiative.

This full-time anatomic pathology position reports directly to the Division Chief of Anatomic Pathology and the Chair of the Department of Pathology.

• Base Salary Range: $310k to $480k.The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have an MD or equivalent medical degree and possess or be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license.
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology (or equivalent) is required.
• Fellowship training and demonstrated expertise in one or more surgical pathology subspecialties are required. Preferred areas include breast pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, and head and neck pathology.
• Experience in the diagnosis of complex oncologic pathology cases within an academic medical center, cancer center, or similarly specialized practice environment is highly preferred.
• Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
• Medical licensure in Arizona, Illinois, or Georgia is desirable.
• Applicants should demonstrate evidence of scholarly activity, including research and publication productivity.
• Academic accomplishments consistent with appointment at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level are preferred.
