Engineering Program Manager

We are the Cisco Networking - Compute Operations Organization which drives strategic, operational, and organizational excellence across the Business Group. Our team delivers results on strategic business critical Compute AI programs and drives various cross functional initiatives.

As a Engineering Program Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful launch of new products, driving continuous improvement, and achieving strategic goals that contribute to the overall success of Cisco's Networking - Compute Operations Organization.

• You will play a highly transparent, critical role leading Hardware and software programs for the Compute portfolio
• Define plans and drive development of new product launches while handling change on existing programs.
• Identify and establish partnerships with globally distributed team members to build, support, secure sponsorship and ensure alignment for program outcomes
• Identify and handle program risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize negative impact
• Evaluate program progress and results against program objectives, build or reengineer processes, tools and/or structure to improve efficiency and overall program outcomes
• Facilitate teams through changes in features, priority and scope. Communicate and handle impact to avoid surprises.
• Collaborate with the various Program leads within the team to actively exchange information, decisions and conduct interlock sessions
• Work on multiple programs in parallel in a fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguities, quickly adapt to organization culture and process.
• Communicate status on ongoing programs to partners and senior management.
• knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field or equivalent experience in software engineering.
• 7+ years of experience as an Engineering or Technical Program Manager in software, embedded, product delivery or a related discipline.
• Experience with project planning tools like (JIRA, Rally, MS Project, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.).
• Hands on experience driving large-scale enterprise Software programs.

• Experience with SaaS products and Agile development methodologies preferred.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and bringing new products to market a plus.
• Understanding of both hardware and software development lifecycles, especially in embedded systems or compute platforms preferred.
