Join Jack Henry, a company known for its outstanding culture and employee-first values, as a .NET DevOps Engineer on the Technology Payments Operations team. You'll drive automation and innovation in cloud-based release processes, focusing on CPS and EPS platforms.

We're seeking candidates with strong experience in .NET, Windows, and Azure (required), plus familiarity with GCP. Key skills include Windows administration, PowerShell scripting, and cloud automation. You'll support Octopus-based releases across multiple platforms, refine and develop automations, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Actively participates in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, prototyping, detailed design, development, technical documentation, and defect fixing.
  • Contributes to the technical design and implementation of system deployment automation and configuration management tools.
  • Develops software in appropriate scripting languages using agile design-build-test methodologies.
  • Configures and maintains container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications effectively.
  • Constructs, improves, and maintains the automated deployment pipelines. Collaborates closely with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Adheres to organizational standards, policies, and procedures related to software development, security, and compliance.
  • Manages database service levels and performance.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development or systems engineering within a .NET environment.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management including the creation and maintenance of PowerShell Modules.
  • Must have the ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Must have the ability to travel for occasional team meetings or conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure (strongly preferred) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Background in high-compliance industries such as FinTech or financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts and infrastructure.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Exposure to Go programming language.
