The Fuel Field Services team includes Design and Project Engineers supporting fuel-related products and services at the Mount Athos Road (MAR) facility as part of Fuel America. The individual in this position will be responsible for the specification, design, testing, and qualification of fuel inspection-related equipment, tools, and products. The position includes troubleshooting, diagnosis, modification, and support of maintenance programs. The individual will also assume responsibility for a tooling group to support assigned field product functions (such as post-irradiation inspection services, fuel reconstitution and repair, sipping, etc.) as well as serve as the machine shop interface for tool/component production. The individual will also contribute to a variety of emergent projects and support onsite fuel inspection and repair deployments as required.

The individual will be responsible for all aspects of tooling/equipment design, including conceptual development, R&D of First-Of-A-Kind principles, formal design using CAD software packages, detailed drawings, tolerance studies, design reviews, qualification, and implementation/startup of tooling/equipment. In addition, the individual will also be responsible for working with Fuel Field Service Operations throughout the process, including hands-on tooling assembly, training, and training manual development.
